Belarus is recalling its ambassador to Armenia for consultations. Anatoly Glaz, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Belarus, informed reporters about this on Thursday, according to BelTA.

"We all see how difficult the internal political situation is in Armenia today, how quickly the confrontation within the country is escalating. And different people, of course, have different resistance to serious emotional stress; wan understand this. But we don't understand what Belarus has to do with it," said the Belarusian MFA spox.

"Taking into account the development of the situation, our ambassador [to Armenia] also will arrive in Minsk from Yerevan in the near future," added Glaz.

He emphasized that if someone in Armenia has decided to divert attention from internal problems by portraying an external enemy, this is a very short-sighted position.
