Elon Musk said that the US authorities will demand to remove the X app if Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, is elected as the president.

"The fake [Supreme Federal Court of Brazil] judge [Alexandre de Moraes] is forcing Apple and Google to remove X from their app stores [in Brazil]… this will also happen here (in the United States) if [US Vice President] Kamala [Harris] is elected [to the position of head of state],” Musk wrote on X—formerly Twitter.

On Aug 30, Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered X's suspension in the country after Musk refused to appoint a new legal representative for this social media platform. In mid-August, X published a letter from de Moraes with demands for censorship and user account information that it said could affect users not only in Brazil, but also in the United States and Argentina.
