GYUMRI. – Criminal case is instigated on human trafficking in Armenia’s Shirak Region.

Yerevan resident S. Martirosyan, nicknamed Doctor, living temporary in Turkey, in partnership with N. Movsisyan, who owned money to Doctor, hooked Gyumri resident Gayane. Later the Doctor took Movsisyan and Gayane to Turkish Trabzon city, where a Turk pimp made them undergo sexual exploitation for 4 days. The Turkish pimp passed money to Doctor, Armenia’s Attorney General’s Office press service informs.

However, when the women refused to be involved in prostitution, the pimp gave them to police, who deported them. Later Martirosyan demanded Movsisyan to return the rest of the money or hook other women. As a result, Movsisyan hooked and sent Gyumri resident Karine to Trabzon, who was involved in prostitution from August till December 2011. Karine also was later deported. Criminal case is instigated. Movsisyan and Martirosyan are arrested. To note, women’s names are changed.
