European Union 27 member-states came into unanimous conclusion to launch talks to create Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DCFTA) with Armenia.

European Commission’s positive response is due to Armenia’s steps implemented for getting prepared for the talks, Armenian Ministry of Economy’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. EU obliged Armenia to make legislative amendments, strengthen corresponding agencies on foreign trade-related issues.

Realized works and the comprehensive report introduced to the Commission, served for the EU to decide launching the talks.

DCFTA will allow Armenia to diversify and direct export abilities, as well as to establish more favorable conditions for a united EU market of 500 million consumers.

Currently Armenia uses General System of Preferences (GSP+) granted by the EU, which allows to export goods by EU minimum reduced taxes.
