Armenia’s Financial Market does not show any signs of activation during the first two weeks of March. Even though on March 8 the trade volume increases but it does not affect the exchange market significantly.
However, the effect has been significant in previous years as the dollar demand used to grow. According to the report of the Armenian Central Bank, the banks bought about $135 million, sold $136 million on March 1 - March 15.
Usually seasonal factors retreat in March-April constraining economic activity which is reflected in financial market indicators, however, bad weather conditions delay construction and agriculture works.
