YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: According to our information, the RA authorities are trying at all costs to organize a Mnatsakanyan-Pompeo meeting in early October.

It turns out that [PM] Nikol Pashinyan is very upset by the lack of high-level Armenian-American meetings, and he has instructed FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to do everything possible to meet with US Secretary of State [Mike] Pompeo.

The forces of the [Armenian] MFA, the RA embassy in Washington, the Armenian lobbyists and community in the US have been mobilized to arrange that meeting. Moreover, the Armenian embassy has hired American lobbyists to achieve a meeting with the Secretary of State, and they are paid high sums from the [Armenian] state budget. One [of them] is former senator, 97-year-old Bob Dole.
