YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Zhoghovurd daily learned that the Atlantis European Airways airline, which has been operating in Armenia for many years, has been declared bankrupt.

Let us inform that the Atlantis European Airways airline had been in serious trouble before this.

Zhoghovurd daily had written that the airline's planes had been grounded for a long time; there were even reports that they had been sealed. The reason, according to some information, is financial problems.

In addition, persistent reports were being circulated that the employees of said company had not received salaries for a long time.

Zhoghovurd daily learned that the [bankruptcy] decision of the RA Bankruptcy Court entered into legal force on September 15 of this year.

And one of Armenia’s commercial banks, to which the airline owes about 5 million drams, has appealed to the court with a request to declare the company bankrupt.
