YEREVAN. – daily of Armenia writes: In 2019, the [ruling] Civil Contract [(CC)] Party closed its regional organizations—leaving one.

In a conversation with our newspaper, Vahagn Hovakimyan, a prominent member of the CC, had not hidden that the "expenses" were the reason, after the [parliamentary] elections, the ruling force had found it expedient to give up unnecessary expenses.

However, now active work is underway to reopen those offices ahead of the [expected snap parliamentary] elections. [PM] Nikol Pashinyan has set a deadline: all the [CC] organizations shall be reopened, and active party contacts shall begin within a month.

It is interesting why and with what the government reopens the offices in costly post-war times. It assumes leasing of spaces, staff salaries and other expenses. And what is the point of [re]opening so many offices if the assurances that they [the incumbent authorities] continue to enjoy the support of the people are true?
