YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Questions that assume specific answers were asked yesterday, on September 15, at the [Armenia] Security Council's expanded consultation (which was attended also by the delegation that arrived from Artsakh).

It became known to Zhoghovurd daily that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan assured the participants of the discussion that he has not signed and is not going to sign any document. He conveyed that he will sign a peace agreement only when he is sure and guaranteed that not even a millimeter will be lost from the sovereign territory of Armenia, and the Azerbaijani army will return to its starting positions.

However, the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] side was not reassured by this statement, but it gave reason to worry and raise a number of questions. It became known to Zhoghovurd daily that the people of Artsakh asked what will happen to Artsakh and the status of Artsakh if the RA sovereign territory is preserved and Pashinyan signs that agreement. Does resolving the RA issues and stepping aside mean abandoning Artsakh? This is the main issue of the people of Artsakh.

In response, Pashinyan noted that a matter of the status of Artsakh was not discussed during the last meeting in Brussels.

Basically, the question by the Artsakh delegation remains pending. Judging by the fact that rallies have been taking place in [Artsakh capital] Stepanakert's Revival Square for days, it can be assumed that the people of Artsakh, nonetheless, still see concern in that ominous agreement—in that, after the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan [by Armenia], Artsakh can be viewed in the integrity of Azerbaijan, which is definitely means the loss of Artsakh.
