YEREVAN. – On April Fool’s Day, the Armenian ruling establishment was guest at Mkhchyan village to the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Campaign Headquarters Chief—and former National Assembly Speaker—Hovik Abrahamyan, Irates De Facto writes.

“[But] Not to fool one another, but rather to wish success in the [parliamentary] elections. All coalition leaders, [including President and RPA leader] Serzh Sargsyan, [the coalition’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) (RLP)Party leader] Arthur Baghdasaryan, and, of course, the [Abrahamyan] family’s close member, [the coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader] Gagik Tsarukyan were there.

“[The rumors that] PAP’s participation in the coalition was a formality and [Armenia’s former FM and new PAP member Vartan] Oskanian will form a new coalition after the elections are noteworthy against the backdrop of the news that Oskanian has presently and, after the elections, de jure will assume PAP’s leadership. Furthermore, Oskanian’s current new ‘challenges’ have made the coalition ties even more close, [and] ‘for’ Gagik Tsarukyan, in the first place,” Irates De Facto writes.
