YEREVAN. – Armenia’s each pensioner will receive a deserving pension, with an average of AMD 63,000 (approx. US$ 162) instead of the current AMD 31,200 (approx $80). The opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party on Monday introduced its program in the run-up to the National Assembly elections.

ARF is pledging to eliminate destitution, form a middle class, and guarantee a better life, between 2012 and 2017.  

Also, the Party promises to restrain the natural gas, electricity, and irrigation and drinking water prices in the next five years.        

According to the ARF program, Armenia’s population will annually grow by fifth thousand, on the average, and thanks to the active demographic policy.    

Dashnaktsutyun is confident that it will be able to double the GDP, triple the state budget, and create 200 thousand new jobs in the next five years. 

And to fill the budget, the ARF pledges to tax the superprofits, and to apply the property tax in such way that the rich pay considerably more taxes.
