YEREVAN. - On Tuesday the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited Azerbaijani soldier Mamedbahir Akhundzadeh who is a hostage in Armenia.

As the ICRC office in Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am, the representatives gave a letter to the hostage and he on his turn gave a letter for his father.

The Azerbaijani soldier surrendered himself on the south-west part of the contact line between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan on January 23, 2012.

According to the incorrect information of the Azerbaijani media the hostage is in Nagorno-Karabakh. But it has been announced several times that he is in Yerevan.
