YEREVAN. – We have to be prepared for the day when Turkey recognizes the Armenian Genocide, capital Yerevan’s Regional Studies Center Director Richard Giragosian stated during a press conference on Friday.  

In his words, the Armenians should also think about formulating their demands, when Turkey acknowledges the Genocide.  

“Turkey’s gain from the Genocide’s recognition is that it will confront and accept its past. This is also a test as to what kind of a country Turkey will become in the future. In this sense, this is a test and an opportunity for Turkey’s future,” Richard Giragosian noted.
