YEREVAN.- Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan neither confirmed nor ruled out possibility of confrontation with the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

Gagik Tsarukyan left for Ayntap village to meet with the voters, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

Answering to journalist’s remark on possibility of confrontation, Tsarukyan said not only RPA and PAP but all the parties face competition during the election campaign.

“Each wants to present his program, his team and secure support of the voters. The main assessment of the political forces will be given on May 6 when it will become clear which party will gain the majority of votes,” he said.

Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is a political power included in the ruling coalition.

Founded by Armenian biggest businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, the party debuted in 2007 Armenian parliamentary elections, winning 29 seats in 131-seat Armenia’s National Assembly.

The proportional list of the party includes 165 names. PAP has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system. Prosperous Armenia Party’s election campaign slogan is: “Believe, trust, demand!”
