Freedom House calls Armenia a country with not free press

Armenia is ranked 149 in the Global Press Freedom Rankings issued by Freedom House. Armenia, which is given “not free” status, issandwiched between Pakistan and Angola.

“Not free” Azerbaijan and Russia share 172nd line with Zimbabwe. Georgia has the highest score among the regional states being ranked 111st and included in the list of “partly free” countries.

The world’s eight worst-rated countries are Belarus, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The best are Denmark, Belgium, Luxemburg, Andorra, Switzerland and Lichtenstein.
