YEREVAN. – An unfortunate incident occurred recently in Mrgashat village of Armenia’s Armavir Region, Hraparak daily writes. 

“Eleven-year-old Gevorg Khachatryan decided to swim in the irrigation water reservoir in the area of the village, but he drowned thirty minutes later.    

His corpse was transferred to Metsamor [City] Hospital. [But] Another disaster could have occurred in hospital. When the child’s parents arrived in hospital and learned of their son’s death, the father lost himself and tried to commit suicide on the spot.     

But, according to eyewitnesses, noticing the suspicious conduct of the father who lost his son, a police officer in the hospital prevented the suicide [attempt],” Hraparak writes.
