YEREVAN. – Ruben Gevorgyan, who is one of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MPs of the Fifth Convocation of the National Assembly [Parliament], told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they will cooperate in the Parliament with opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), as well as former coalition partners, including Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Orinats Yerkir if their political initiatives correspond to those of PAP’s and will contribute to the strengthening of the state and people and simplification of the legislative body.

Asked whether the party will support the RPA candidate, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan at the presidential elections next year, Gevorgyan said that it is too early to respond on the question, besides the party will discuss and decide it later.

"Each powerful party strives to become ruling authority and any member of the party considers his political leader as one to run the state’s destiny," Gevorgyan said.
