YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan Council of Elders members Lyudmila Sargsyan, Levon Zurabyan, Stepan Demirchyan, Hrant Bagratyan, and Khachatur Kokobelyan—who were elected from the election list of the opposition Armenian National Congress—have submitted their resignations from Council membership, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan stated during the Council session on Wednesday.      

Also, Margaryan informed that Council members Ruslan Baghdasaryan and Artavazd Sargsyan—who were elected from the election list of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia—likewise have submitted their resignations from Council membership, and on the grounds of being appointed prefects to two Yerevan administrative regions.
