YEREVAN. – The post-National Assembly (NA)-election passions are not yet calming down at Armenia’s junior coalition government partner, Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP), Zhoghovurd daily writes.

“The daily’s sources inform that RLP leader, [National Security Council] NSC Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan is not reconciling with the thought that the RLP suffered a disgraceful defeat and received a very small amount of votes during the NA elections.

According to our sources, prior to heading to Russia, Baghdasaryan announced that the [election bribe] money that he gave must be returned. [But] The Party members explained that they distributed the given money, [even] expressing a readiness to show the [respective] lists.

[But] Baghdasaryan stated that he is not interested in any explanation and the money must be placed on his table upon his return from Russia.

We attempted to verify this information from RLP spokesperson Harutyun Amiryan, but his [cell] phone was switched off,” Zhoghovurd writes.
