YEREVAN. – Within the framework of its official trip to Armenia, the delegation led by Austria’s President Heinz Fischer visited the Yerevan Brandy Factory on Wednesday (photo).

The delegation toured the Factory’s aging department.

Also, the Austrian President examined the “Peace Barrel,” which was made in 2001 and in honor of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ visit. The brandy alcohol from 1994, which symbolizes the year of the ceasefire, is being aged in this barrel. It is called “peace” because it will be opened when the Karabakh conflict is resolved.

The President also signed the Factory’s guestbook.

And following tradition, the presidential passageway of the Factory’s aging department was complemented by the barrel named after Austria’s President Heinz Fischer, who is the 24th head of state visiting the Factory.

And the Yerevan Brandy Factory management presented to President Fischer a special bottle of “Ararat” brandy.
