YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Emergency Situations Ministry received a call, on Friday at 7:49am, informing that a road accident had occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri Highway

A truck had gone off road, for yet unknown reasons, and tipped over. Also, there was a fuel leakage and rescuers were needed, the Ministry press service informs.    

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a DMC-model truck, with Turkish license plates, had gone off road, for yet unknown reasons, and tipped over. The truck’s driver is Recep Karaman (born in 1967), a resident of Rize, Turkey.

Also, the accident had caused a diesel-fuel leakage, but without an ensuing fire. There are no casualties or injuries.

The fire and rescue squad cleaned and cleared the road.
