YEREVAN. – Political powers in Armenia, which are not included in the coalition, will hardly get united and nominate one candidate to run for the upcoming presidential elections, expert Manvel Sargsyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. He commented on whether opposition ARF Dashnaktutyun, Heritage, Armenian National Congress (ANC) and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will get united and will nominate one candidate for the presidential elections scheduled for next year.

Everything depends on the PAP, in the current scheme, as it is the strongest power among the opposition. Even if the PAP is ruled out from the possible opposition front, the perspective looks suspicious. In addition, the ANC openly cooperates with the PAP.

Regarding the PAP’s own political vector and whether it will nominate own candidate for the highest office, everything depends on the PAP and ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) political bargaining outcome, he concluded.
