NKR President attends Independence Day events

STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Sunday partook at the festive events devoted to the 21st anniversary of NKR’s proclamation.

The Head of State visited the capital city Stepanakert Memorial and placed flowers on the monuments of those soldiers who perished for the independence and freedom of NKR, and of First Speaker of NKR National Assembly, Arthur Mkrtchyan.

In the evening, the President attended the celebrations held in Stepanakert.

NKR second President Arkadi Ghukasyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Armenia and NKR National Assembly speakers Hovik Abrahamyan and Ashot Ghulyan, NKR Premier Ara Harutunyan, Armenia and NKR officials, and guests from the Armenian Diaspora and abroad likewise were on hand at the events.
