WASHINGTON. – The U.S. President Barack Obama congratulated his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the Independence Day, Armenian President's press service informs. Obama wrote in particular to accept his sincere congratulations addressed to Sargsyan and the Armenian people on the occasion of the national holiday. Armenia enters the 22d year of its independence, which is noted by strong and long relations between the two states and nations. The United States are always ready to support Armenia in its steady economic development and democratization and hope to enlarge the close cooperation, including joint efforts of fight against global challenges.  The U.S. assesses highly Armenia’s participation in international missions, which are targeted at security in Afghanistan and Kosovo, where the Armenian peace keepers serve along with the American servicemen within the NATO mission, Obama reads.
