YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was on hand at the official opening of the “Cilician” Public School, with a Syrian program of study, which is set up for Syrian-Armenian children and within the confines of Yerevan’s School No. 14 named after Nar Dos.

Around 220 Syrian-Armenian students, from grades one to nine, will attend the “Cilician” Public School, Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs. 

In his remarks, Margaryan assured that the Municipality will do everything possible so that Syrian-Armenian families may feel comfortable in Yerevan. “The Municipality was with the Syrian-Armenian families since the very first day and it will continue assisting these families. We also resolved the education issue of the preschool Syrian-Armenian children, and today 58 children already are attending kindergarten at no cost,” the Mayor noted.     

Subsequently, Taron Margaryan toured the school and spoke with the children and their parents.
