The scientists at NASA maintain that the end of the world will not come about in December and the state of Planet Earth is quite stable.

The specialists assure that December 21, 2012 symbolizes the end of a phase in the Mayan calendar and it is followed by a new phase. “Time does not end on December 31 of the calendar that is hung in your kitchen,” they noted. This is the case with the Mayan calendar, too.   

At the same time, however, despite the scientists’ refutation, every tenth inhabitant of the Earth believes in the Mayan prediction that “doomsday” will come on December 21, 2012, Golos Rossii reports.
