YEREVAN. – Tango Company, which belongs to Argentinean-Armenian businessman Eduardo Eurnekian, will be given an opportunity to purchase the Government of Armenia Building No.2, where the country’s Foreign Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources, and Territorial Administration Ministries currently function.

The Government on Thursday approved yet another decision on the sale of the building, and Tango Company is again noted as a potential buyer.

To note, the Government had posted a draft decision, on its official website on Tuesday, whereby the aforesaid building was to be auctioned off invalidating the Government’s October decision of selling it to Tango Company.

With the changes that were made Thursday morning, however, the aforesaid company is again given an opportunity to purchase the building, if the Government cannot find—by way of a classical auction—a buyer that will bid a higher price for the purchase of the building. That is to say, first, the Government will put the building up for auction and, subsequently, it will become clear whether or not Eduardo Eurnekian will be able to buy the building for $51 million.

The auction shall be conducted within the next three months while a preliminary sale agreement will be signed with Tango Company.
