YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister, Tigran Sargsyan, received Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze, who is in capital city Yerevan on an official visit.

The interlocutors pointed to the relations between the governments of both countries, and noted that irresolvable matters do not exist between Armenia and Georgia, the interim Armenian Government press service informs. Sargsyan extended his thanks to the Georgian government for responding and finding solutions to the matters which the Armenian party has raised.   

In her turn, Panjikidze conveyed to Sargsyan the warm greetings by Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili.  

Reflecting on economic relations, Armenia’s acting PM underscored the need to set up a joint market between the two neighboring countries. In this context, the interlocutors reflected on cooperation in the economic sector, and the course of the program toward modernizing the border checkpoints between the two countries.     

Also, the Georgian FM informed that the Georgian-Armenian community likewise is taking part in the project toward restoring the Armenian monuments that are located in Georgia.  

The parties also examined the ongoing  integration processes within the framework of the EU and the CIS.
