YEREVAN. – Cyber crimes “improve,” and business correspondence often becomes a target for such criminals. Armenian Police’s respective specialist, Police Senior Lieutenant Andrey Yashchyan stated this during a press conference on Monday.

In parallel with the development of high-tech, however, Internet crimes likewise have “improved.”

“Such crimes go beyond borders. The crime could start in Armenia, deal with Chine, and end in Japan. [And] the need for close collaboration with the colleagues in other countries stems from this [fact],” Yashchyan noted.

The cyber criminal scheme confuses the businessmen and transfers money to other accounts. According to the Police representative, the simplest form of insurance for the businessmen is the telephonic conversation to transfer money.

As per Police Senior Lieutenant Andrey Yashchyan, no matter how many specialists there are, their number is still small.

“In parallel, however, we are improving,” he added.
