Iranian commander has dismissed press reports on number of victims in the earthquake that hit south-east of the Islamic Republic.

Commander of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps of Sistan and Baluchestan province Mortazavi said there is no precise data on the number of victims, RIA Novosti reported quoting DANA agency. He said the press reports spread by several websites are untrue.  

Major earthquake, according to various sources, measuring from 7.5 to 7.8 magnitude, struck Iran near the border with Pakistan. The earthquake was felt in neighboring countries, including India. Earlier media reported about 40 victims and 850 injured.
