YEREVAN. – As of 1:15pm firefighters contained a fire which broke out in the building Spayka company in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, deputy head of rescue service told reporters.  

Nikolay Grigoryan said the firefighters are at the final phase of complete extinguishing of the fire (photos).

The Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, has personally arrived in the scene.Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan is also at the scene.

Director of Spayka company Davit Ghambaryan did not answer journalists’ questions. 

To note, the fire started on Wednesday at 11:58pm. In line with preliminary data, Spayka Company’s three-story building, with a surface area of 4,500 square meters, is completely on fire.
