The Armenian delegation, led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, attended regular session of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries, which was convened Friday in Minsk, Belarus.

A narrow-format meeting was followed by an extended-format session.    

The participants discussed several agenda topics, and subsequently signed a number of CIS cooperation agreements and other documents. Specifically, the discussants approved the 2012 activities that were carried out along the lines of the interstate innovative cooperation program. 

At the proposal by the Russian Federation (RF), the next session of the heads of the governments of CIS member countries will be convened in RF on November 20.
