YEREVAN. – Russia’s leadership would welcome Armenia’s joining the Eurasian Union and Customs Union, Ambassador Ivan Volynkin said.

Asked about a memorandum noted by Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan, Ambassador said he could not answer the question.

“I cannot say that talks are underway. But everything is not that easy. It is necessary to adjust the legislation in case of joining in one another form. The status has not been defined. This may be a membership, and may be an association or partnership,” he told reporters.
