YEREVAN. – Firemen managed to prevent the fire in the apartment of Saryan family adjacent to the Martiros Saryan house-museum at midnight on Wednesday.

The accident was caused by a short in electrical wiring, press service of the Culture Ministry said.

“No casualties or material losses have been reported. The causes of the accident are being clarified,” the report says.

Due to renovation work at the museum, all works of art had been transported to a safe place.
