YEREVAN. – Russia is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of weapons.

Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha stated the abovementioned in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.

At the request of Armenian news reporters, he commented on the fact that Russia had recently sold a large consignment of arms to Azerbaijan. 

Bordyuzha reminded that Russia supplies weapons to dozens of countries around the world. 

“This is business, this is a market, [and] this is the economy of the Russian Federation. The matter is different when they are guided by the principle of maintaining parity when making a decision to sell weapons to non-CSTO member countries. This principle was at the focus when making a decision to sell arms to your neighbor,” the CSTO Secretary General noted.
