YEREVAN. – The fact that “The Banality of Indifference”, a book about Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide, was translated into Armenian language is very important, the author Yair Auron said in Yerevan.

The book was written in Hebrew and was translated into English, the author said, expressing gratitude to all those who helped make it available to the Armenian readers.

“It is important that the book was published in Armenian, as it reflects the link between Genocides of Armenian and Jewish nations,” he said during the Monday press conference.

The chairman of the Writers’ Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan said the author took a bold step by telling the truth about the Armenian Genocide.

“The book is designed for readers from Israel and Armenia. It will bring closer the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The author names tragedy of the Armenians “an introduction to the Holocaust” and accuses modern Israeli authorities of their approach to recognition of the Armenian Genocide,” he added.
