The Armenian family, which lost their lives as a result of a horrible road accident in Russia, is identified.

To note, information was received on Thursday that a traffic accident had occurred at Moscow-Volgograd Highway on Wednesday at 3:47am.

According to the report, an Opel Omega had crossed into the opposite lane, for yet unknown reasons, crashed into a truck, and a fire had broken out in the car. As a result, the vehicle’s driver—Garnik Badalyan, 38—and passengers—Narine Babayan, 38, and Haykanush, 6, and Mikayel, 4, Badalyan—died on the spot. They could not get out of the burning car, and therefore they were burned alive.

The sources close to the Badalyan family told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Garnik Badalyan was living in Moscow, together with his wife and two children, but they were originally from Charentsavan, Armenia.

Their bodies are expected to be brought to Armenia within the next two days.

To note, even though Russian media report that the crash had occurred due to the Armenian driver crossing into the opposite lane, there is also information that it was actually the truck that had caused the deadly accident.
