YEREVAN. – Russian public figures are on a visit to Nagorno-Karabakh at the initiative of “Armenian-Russian cooperation” organization.

Head of the organization Yuri Navoyan said during the visit a number of meetings and events will be organized in Yerevan and Stepanakert to present Armenia’s position on key regional and international challenges.

“The peculiarity of the visit is that the delegation is formed of representatives of new generation of Russian public figures, who are friends of Armenia and Karabakh. All members of the group are visiting Karabakh for the first time,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The delegation includes ex-employee of the Russian intelligence, author and host of a program broadcasted on Russian Ren-TV channel Anna Chapman, a member of the Public Chamber of Russia Denis Dvornikov, human rights activist Sergey Karnaukhov, correspondent of the Russian Reporter magazine Alexandra Ryzhkova and others.

They are expected to meet with senior officials of the NKR. On August 29-30, the delegation will arrive in Armenia.
