YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Monday received a delegation from Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province, led by Provincial Governor Vahid Jalalzadeh.  

Governor Ashot Ghahramanyan of Armenia’s Armavir Region likewise attended the talk.

Gevorgyan informed that Armenia’s interregional relations with Iran are developing and noted that the Government of Armenia encourages this cooperation, informs the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration.  

He also expressed hope that the Iranian delegation’s visit to Armenia will be productive. 

On their part, the guests from Iran noted that there is great potential for cooperation. In the provincial governor’s words, Iran’s new government likewise welcomes the strengthening of interregional relations with Armenia.

In addition, Jalalzadeh invited Gevorgyan and Ghahramanyan to visit West Azerbaijan Province of Iran.
