YEREVAN. – The plane of Russian President Vladimir Putin has landed at Shirak international airport. He is welcomed at the airport by President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan (photo).

The two-day state visit of the Russian leader will start in Gyurmi, the second largest city of Armenia.

During the visit Vladimir Putin and Serzh Sargsyan will visit #102 Russian military unit and wil participate in the third Russian-Armenian interregional forum.

In Yerevan, bilateral talks will be held. The parties will discuss the course of implementation of the agreements that were reached during Sargsyan’s visit to the RF on September 3, and exchange views on the ongoing activities and the future courses of action with respect to Armenia’s joining the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space.   

In addition, the parties will sign several documents on strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation.

Simultaneously a protest action against Armenia’s joining Customs Union is being held in the center of Yerevan.
