YEREVAN. – The sanctions, which the West had imposed against official Tehran, were also hindering the implementation of energy projects with Armenia. 

Iranian Ambassador to Armenia, Mohammad Reisi, noted the aforesaid at a press conference on Friday.

As per Reisi, the Iranians as well as Iran’s economic partners primarily bear the brunt of these sanctions.  

“Specifically, we regret the reduction in the flow of Iranian tourists to Armenia,” the diplomat stated.

In Mohammad Reisi’s words, thanks to the lifting of the economic sanctions against Iran, however, the banking transactions between Armenia and Iran likewise will become much easier.
