YEREVAN. – Civil initiative opposing introduction of mandatory cumulative pension system reported about fines imposed by road police on the participants of the action.

Members of “We are against mandatory cumulative pension system” held a protest action by cars from Barekamutyun metro station through the center of the Armenian capital last Thursday.

“Representatives of road police visited one of the activists informing him about breaking traffic rules in the Republic Square on December 5,” the civil initiative informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“We all must clarify the details and will pay fines, if necessary. This will be our next action,” they said in a statement.

The law on new pension system will come into force on January 1, 2014.
