YEREVAN. – The passing year was marked by deepening of Armenia-France friendly relations and cooperation in various fields, French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Commenting on the achievements of 2013, Ambassador mentioned the visit of President Serzh Sargsyan to France that was followed by conference of the Armenian-French Decentralized Cooperation in Valence as well as the visit of the delegation headed by Marseille Senator and the visit of the member of Armenian-French parliamentary friendship group to Gyumri on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Spitak earthquake.

In economic terms, we are on the threshold of Amundi investment fund’s entering the Armenian market. He recalled that Amundi is a branch of Credit Agricole and Societe Generale.

“As regards Carrefour, at the moment the work on implementation of activities in 2014 is underway,” he said.

The Ambassador added that the loan agreement amounting to 10 million euros that was signed by the French Development Agency and the National Mortgage Company will contribute to the development of economic cooperation between the countries.

“And, of course, the recent reports on the planned visit of the French President Francois Hollande to Armenia are crowning 2013 and opening new prospects for dialogue,” Henri Reynaud concluded.
