YEREVAN. - The commission, which is set up to discuss the public transportation fares in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, will convene a session on Thursday.

Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department Chief Artur Gevorgyan confirmed the abovementioned information to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Incidentally, it could be announced on the same day as to how much the transport fare hike will be.  

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Municipality Transport Department Chief Henrik Navasardyan had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that even though the aforesaid commission was to hold a session at the end of December, the session was rescheduled to January of next year. The Yerevan city hall official had informed that the public transport passenger flow is studied at present, and the session will be held once these studies are completed. After the studies and the discussions, an agreement is expected to be reached on how much the public transportation fare will rise in Yerevan.
