YEREVAN. – According to preliminary data, meningitis developed with lightning speed in conscript Hayk Hovhannisyan, who later died of illness, and the final autopsy will reveal the cause of death.    

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told the above-said to reporters. 

“The physicians’ work is highly specialized, and it is quite difficult for the commanders to delve into this profession,” Ohanyan noted. 

He added that the young soldier had seen a doctor, but the sickness had developed very fast. The minister stated, however, that the illness should have been diagnosed earlier to be able to prevent it from getting worse.

In his words, violence in the army will continue as long as there are naughty children in each family, and there are badly-behaving schoolchildren.   

At the same time, however, Seyran Ohanyan made it clear that he is not to saying this to justify  the situation.
