YEREVAN. – Indian Ambassador to Armenia Suresh Babu said his country is honored to be a home to Armenian community.

“Armenians are not strangers in the Indian society. Armenians have lived in India for several centuries. We can write volumes about Armenian’s presence in India,” he said during a meeting with media representatives.

There is an Armenian church and school in Calcutta, the diplomat said, adding that many Armenians study at the Indian universities and some are married to Indians.

 As to Indian community of Armenia, it is not large in number, not taking into 650 Indian students studying here.
