YEREVAN. – The selection of the direction for innovation development has become the primary indicator for the post-industrial growth and competitiveness of economy in the 21st century.  

In line with the 2013-2014 Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan are ranked 103rd, 126th and 51st, respectively, in the region, on innovation technologies. 

At the same time, highly qualified Armenian specialists contribute to the innovation technologies of developed countries. 

“I don’t think that there is no desire to conduct activities in the homeland. But it is another question as to what the attitude is here toward innovations,” tabTEC innovation technology company commercial director Ruzan Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am

“Our specialists stand ready to find solutions, by way of technologies still not applied in Armenia, for the existing problems in the priority domains. So far, the company has entered the [innovation technology] market, with protective equipment,” Harutyunyan added.
