YEREVAN. – The earthquake that struck Azerbaijan poses no threat to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, said deputy head of Armenian rescue service at the Emergency Situations Ministry.
Nikolay Grigoryan confirmed the reports that the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh and Syurnik Region of Armenia felt tremors measuring 3-4 points on the Richter scale.
“There is no danger. The quake hit Azerbaijan and it will not affect us,” Grigoryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As informed earlier, the Azerbaijani media reported a 5.8-point earthquake in the south of Azerbaijan. The quake was felt in Baku.
