EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger may delay talks with Russia on the South Stream gas project.

“I won't accelerate talks about pipelines such as South Stream for the time being, they will be delayed,” Reuters quotes Oettinger.

In an interview with Die Welt, EU Commissioner said Europe has no gas supply problems. Oettinger said he backs sanctions imposed against Russian decision-makers, not large-scale economic measures.
