World-renowned French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour gave a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Saturday evening.

Aznavour will turn 90 in May.

Prior to the concert, however, the famous singer held a press conference.

“The Armenians and the Jews, who have seen numerous calamities, have survived because they love life. We need to live life to the fullest. I am guided by the love of life,” he said, in particular.

Aznavour also noted that there are Catholics, Protestants, Jews, and Muslims in his family, and therefore he believes that people can live in the world irrespective of religious faith and political views.

Charles Aznavour had arrived in Israel with his grandson. The boy’s Bar Mitzvah—that is, the Jewish coming of age—ritual was held at the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), NEWSru.co.il reported. The boy’s mother is Jewish.
